23 <br />Regular Meeting August 25, 1997 Page 10 <br />Mayor Moore introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Ms. Hughson stated she would not <br />be at the September 2nd meeting because she will be at the Citizen Police Academy. (2) <br />Ms. Hughson stated last year Mr. Mihalkanin had asked that $4,000 of his travel money be <br />allocated for sidewalks and she was requesting $4,000 of her travel budget allocation for <br />this year be transferred to another place which could make use of it and she suggested <br />transferring it to the Planning and Zoning Commission travel budget. Mayor Moore <br />requested the City Manager place this item on a future agenda. (3) Mayor Moore stated <br />he had noticed the pick up of traffic and a lot of young people walking down Sessom <br />between Comanche and LBJ and wanted to know if it was reasonable to look at building <br />a sidewalk between Comanche and LBJ on Sessom. (4) Mr. Guerra requested the <br />distribution list of Police Cars purchased. (5) Mr. Guerra also requested the figures on the <br />possibility of looking at sidewalks on Ranch Road 12 at next council meeting. (6) Mr. <br />Mihalkanin requested some kind of figures on the possibility of sidewalks on Hunter Road. <br />(7) Mr. Cox would like to request considering a formal or informal sister city program with <br />Peckish, Romania. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration an Executive Session pursuant to Government <br />Code, Section 551.071, to discuss matters where the City Attorney's ethical duty to the City <br />clearly conflicts with Government Code, Chapter 551 (Wastewater System Improvements; <br />Downtown Sidewalk Improvements Project).
