40 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 1, 1997 PRESENT: Mayor Billy G. Moore Mayor Pro- Tem Ronald K. Hart Council Members Ed Mihalkanin Jane Hughson Fred Guerra * Joe B. Cox, Jr. Rick Hernandez City Manager Larry D. Gilley Assistant City Manager Laura Huffman City Secretary Janis K. Womack City Attorney Mark B. Taylor Mr. Hart called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Hart introduced for consideration an Executive Session pursuant to Government Code, Section 551.074, to discuss evaluation of a public officer (City Secretary). Ms. Hughson moved to adjourn into Executive Session at 6:05 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mayor Moore not present to vote on this motion). Mr. Mihalkanin moved to reconvene from Executive Session at 7:08 p.m. and Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mr. Guerra not present to vote on this motion or remainder of this meeting). Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval 'to set salary of the City Secretary. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for a 5% increase of $2,019.95 which would total $42,019.95 to be retroactive to October 1, 1997, and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
