City Council Meeting Minutes January 13, 2017 <br />20. Resolution 2017-15R, consenting to the assignment of an Economic Development <br />Incentive Agreement approved by Resolution No. 2011-33, that originally provided for <br />the waiver of certain sign standards, from Tanger Properties Limited Partnership to <br />Tanger San Marc, LLC, an affiliated entity; authorizing the City Manager to execute <br />any instruments consistent with this resolution as may be necessary to confirm the <br />City's consent; and declaring an effective date. <br />21. Resolution 2017-16R, consenting to the assignment of a Chapter 380 Economic <br />Development Incentive Agreement approved by Resolution No. 2015-93R, that <br />originally provided for incentives in the form of a property and sales tax refunds not to <br />exceed $2,500,000 over 10 years, from Tanger Properties Limited Partnership to <br />Tanger San Marc, LLC, an affiliated entity; authorizing the City Manager to execute <br />any instruments consistent with this Resolution as may be necessary to confirm the <br />City's consent; and declaring an effective date. <br />22. Council Member Mihalkanin's appointment to the 2017 Charter Review <br />Commission, as well as the 2017 Charter Review Commission's charge. <br />23. Possible amendment to the San Marcos SmartCode to require a conditional use <br />permit, issued by the San Marcos City Council, to construct purpose-built student <br />housing within certain Transect Zones. <br />The Council received Staff briefings and held discussion regarding items on the <br />agenda for January 17, 2017 Regular City Council Meeting, to wit Items (3-23). <br />Item #10 Staff will provide Council with an update on the total cost of the fire <br />station at a later time. <br />Item #11 Staff will ensure that the City's Municipal Court is included in our <br />future facility plans. <br />Item #19 Staff will provide Council with how much Staff time, in a monetary <br />value, goes into a development. Staff stated that a flood prone area fee could <br />potentially be looked into. <br />2. Receive a brief introduction and training on the new Vote Cast system, and provide <br />direction to Staff. <br />Jamie Lee Case, City Clerk, provided a brief introduction and training on the <br />new Vote Cast system. Council practiced using the new technology. No <br />further action was taken. <br />III. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. <br />None. <br />IV.
