RESOLUTION 2017-26R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION <br /> CONTRACT TO CURRAN CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR THE <br /> SESSOM BIKE AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (IFB <br /> 217-181) IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,767,011.95 CONTINGENT UPON THE <br /> CONTRACTOR'S TIMELY SUBMISSION OF SUFFICIENT BONDS AND <br /> INSURANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S CONSTRUCTION <br /> CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROJECT AND CONCURRENCE <br /> IN THE AWARD OF THE PROJECT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT <br /> OF TRANSPORTATION; AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY <br /> MANAGER OR HER DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT <br /> DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The award of a construction contract to Curran Contracting Company for the <br /> Sessom Bike and Pedestrian Improvements Project(IFB 217-181) in the amount of$1,767,011.95 <br /> is approved contingent upon the Contractor's timely submission of sufficient bonds and insurance <br /> in accordance with the City's construction contract documents for the Project and concurrence in <br /> the award of the project from the Texas Department of Transportation. <br /> PART 2. The Interim City Manager,or her designee, is authorized to execute the contract <br /> documents on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
