City Council Meeting Minutes-Final January 17,2017 <br /> non-owner occupied short-term rentals. <br /> - The property owner of a non-owner occupied short-term rental must <br /> maintain their primary residence within the city limits or extra-territorial <br /> jurisdiction of the city or must maintain ownership of the property for a <br /> minimum of 5 years prior to applying for the non-owner occupied short-term <br /> rental. <br /> - A non-owner occupied short-term rental must be a minimum of 200 ft away <br /> from another non-owner short-term rental. Mailed notifications to all <br /> property owners within 200 ft of the non-owner occupied short-term rental will <br /> be completed by the city. <br /> Main Motion: that Ordinance 2017-03, be approved,on the first of two <br /> readings, as amended. The motion carried by the following vote: <br /> For: 5- Mayor Thomaides, Council Member Gonzales, Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson, Council <br /> Member Gregson and Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt <br /> Against: 1 - Council Member Mihalkanin <br /> Absent: 1 - Council Member Derrick <br /> 17. 7:00PM Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments <br /> for or against Resolution 2017-14R, granting a petition for the voluntary annexation of <br /> 17.45 acres, more or less, of land situated in the Cyrus Wickson Survey, Abstract No . <br /> 474, located in Hays County on East McCarty Lane, West of Rattler Road; directing <br /> City Staff to prepare a service plan for such area of land; approving a proposed <br /> meeting schedule for public hearings regarding and consideration of an ordinance <br /> annexing such area of land; and declaring an effective date; and consider approval of <br /> Resolution 2017-14R. <br /> Shannon Mattingly, Director of Development Services, provided the Council <br /> with a brief presentation. <br /> Mayor Thomaides opened the Public Hearing at 8:40 p.m. <br /> Caroline Brown, 112 Pecan Street, San Antonio, TX, representing the <br /> requester, asked the Council to approve the resolution. <br /> There being no further comments, Mayor Thomaides closed the Public <br /> Hearing at 8:40 p.m. <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Mihalkanin, seconded by Mayor <br /> Pro-Tem Hughson, that this Resolution be approved.
