CITY PUBLIC SAFETY PROPOSITION I <br /> FOR ( ) THE ISSUANCE OF $17,450,000 TAX BONDS FOR CITY <br /> AGAINST ( ) PUBLIC SAFETY FACILITIES TO INCLUDE THE POLICE <br /> AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND RELATED <br /> EMERGENCY AND TRAINING FACILITIES. <br /> CITY LIBRARY PROPOSITION II <br /> FOR ( ) THE ISSUANCE OF $14,750,000 TAX BONDS FOR CITY <br /> LIBRARY FACILITIES AND PROJECTS. <br /> AGAINST ( ) <br /> Section 11. CONDUCT ACCORDING TO TEXAS ELECTION CODE. <br /> In all substantive respects, the election shall be conducted in accordance with the Texas <br /> Election Code and any other applicable statutes. <br /> Section 12. ELECTION RESULTS. <br /> The Hays County Elections Administrator shall conduct an unofficial tabulation of results <br /> after the closing of the polls on May 6, 2017. The official canvass and tabulation of the results of <br /> the bond election shall be conducted in accordance with the Election Code. <br /> Section 13. MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS. <br /> The provisions of this Ordinance are severable; and in case any one or more of the <br /> provisions of this Ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance should be <br /> held to be invalid, unconstitutional, or ineffective as to any person or circumstance, the <br /> remainder of this Ordinance nevertheless shall be valid, and the application of any such invalid <br /> provision to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is held invalid shall not be <br /> affected thereby. <br /> The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour,place and <br /> subject of the meeting at which this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting <br /> was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Ordinance and the <br /> subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all in accordance with <br /> and as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, <br /> and the Act. <br />
