See "premises". <br /> Registrant means owner, manager or representative of a property. For home <br /> share rentals only, it also includes a lessee of property under a lease for a period of <br /> at least 30 days.. <br /> Rental unit means a structure or portion thereof that is rented or offered for rent <br /> as a residence; including but not limited to, single-family unit, duplex unit,tri-plex, <br /> quad-plex unit, multi-family unit, manufactured or mobile home unit, town home <br /> or condominium. - . . .. - . .. -- - . <br /> structure for separate fee related submissions. <br /> Single Family Unit(SFU) as defined by the International Residential Code. <br /> Unit. See "rental unit". <br /> DIVISION 3. - RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY REGISTRATION <br /> Sec. 34.809. Residential rental property registration. <br /> The purpose of this division is to identify and notify owners regarding <br /> minimum building standards, complaints and property maintenance codes in a <br /> timely manner. In this Division Rental Registration has the same meaning as <br /> Residential Rental Registration in Division 2. <br /> Sec. 34.810. Registration timeline. <br /> Each registrant or landlord of a rental unit within the City of San Marcos <br /> subject to section 34.818 shall register each such rental unit with the City of San <br /> Marcos before January 1st of each year, or as prescribed in section 34.813. If <br /> subject to provisions of section 34.818 prior to the annual deadline, registration <br /> must be completed within 14 days of notice. Notice can be in the form of mail, <br /> electronic communication, or posting on the property. <br /> Sec. 34.811. Separate registration required. <br /> Separate registration shall be required for each rental unit on a property. If <br /> more than one structure is on the same property, then each structure is considered <br /> a separate rental unit. <br />
