RESOLUTION NO. 2017-136R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS ADOPTING, IN RESOLUTION FORM, THE "CITY <br /> COUNCIL STATEMENT REGARDING SB4 AND PENDING <br /> LITIGATION ABOUT THE BILL," PREVIOUSLY APPROVED BY <br /> MOTION OF THE COUNCIL ON AUGUST 15, 2017; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. On August 15, 2017, the San Marcos City Council unanimously approved, by <br /> motion, the attached, "CITY COUNCIL STATEMENT REGARDING SB4 AND PENDING <br /> LITIGATION ABOUT THE BILL" (hereinafter referred to as the "SB4 Statement"). <br /> 2. The city council's motion for approval on August 15, 2017 directed the staff to <br /> bring the SB4 statement back on a future agenda for adoption in the form of a resolution. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The attached SB4 Statement, previously approved by motion on August 15, <br /> 2017, is hereby adopted in the form of a resolution of the San Marcos City Council to be indexed <br /> and filed by the city clerk with other resolutions of the council in the official records of the city. <br /> PART 2.
