Regular Meeting January 25, 1999 Page 3 Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 62, PUBLIC SAFETY, OF THE CITY CODE BY DELETING DIVISION 3, SPECIAL ASSIGNMENT SERVICES - OFF- DUTY SECURITY WORK, OF ARTICLE 2, POLICE DEPARTMENT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mr. Moseley moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and to delete Section 4 and renumber the remaining section and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY REVISING THE TIME PERIODS FOR A 20 M.P.H. SCHOOL ZONE IN THE 300 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mr. Mihalkanin moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Moseley seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance. No one wished to reconsider the Ordinance. The caption of the Ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING THREE TRACTS OF PROPERTY TOTALING 123.52 ACRES LOCATED IN THE 1500 AND 1600 BLOCKS OF CLOVIS BARKER DRIVE TO -LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT), AND BY ZONING A 22.15 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1600 BLOCK OF CLOVIS BARKER DRIVE TO "'I" (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 11, 1999, approval of an Ordinance on second reading, adoption of eleven Resolutions and approval to reconsider adoption of Resolution approving the sale of a portion of Lots 11, 12, 13 14 and 15 of the Millview Addition to Wayland Endsley on consensus. The Council removed Items 9.C.(9) and 9.D. to be considered separately. Ms. Hughson moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 11, 1999, for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and for adoption of the remaining ten Resolutions on consent and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of the Ordinance and the Resolutions read as follows: Approval of Ordinance on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, UPDATING AND CLARIFYING CHAPTER 42, HISTORIC PRESERVATION, OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES.
