140 <br />Regular Meeting April 26, 1999 Page 7 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS EXPRESSING THE CITY'S OPPOSITION TO CERTAIN LEGISLATION <br />PENDING IN THE 76TH TEXAS LEGISLATURE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. <br />Discussion ensued. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to delete Part 1 Number 1 and renumber and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Doiron, Moseley, Hernandez, Mihalkanin, Hughson. <br />NAY: Moore, Cox. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />On the main motion the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Mihalkanin, Moore, Moseley, Cox, Hernandez. <br />NAY: Hughson, Doiron. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration, Item 10.D.(7), adoption of the Resolution, removed <br />from consent agenda, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE COMPOSITION OF THE DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE <br />REVIEW TASK FORCE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Moseley moved to deny adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Doiron seconded the motion. <br />Discussion ensued. Mr. Doiron moved to amend to add one representative of the Real Estate <br />Community and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Doiron, Moseley, Cox <br />NAY: Hughson, Moore, Hernandez, Mihalkanin. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />The motion fails. <br />On the main motion the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Moseley. <br />NAY: Doiron, Moore, Cox, Hernandez, Mihalkanin, Hughson. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution as submitted and Ms. Hughson seconded <br />the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Moore, Cox, Hernandez, Mihalkanin, Hughson. <br />NAY: Moseley, Doiron. <br />ABSTAIN: None.
