Consider approval of Ordinance 2017-45, on first and final reading, ordering a General <br /> and Special Election to be held on November 7, 2017 for the purpose of electing a City <br /> Council Member for Place 3, a City Council Member for Place 4 and to submit proposed <br /> Amendments to the San Marcos City Charter to the Voters; establishing early voting <br /> locations and polling places for this election; making provisions for conducting the <br /> election; declaring an emergency; and providing an effective date <br /> Main Motion: a motion was made by Council Member Gregson,seconded by <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson,to approve Ordinance 2017-45. <br /> Motion to Amend: a motion was made by Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson,seconded <br /> by Council Member Gregson,to include the amendments to the Propositions <br /> illustrated in Exhibit B (attached),within Ordinance 2017-45.
