Definitions. <br /> <br />In this division: <br /> <br />Corner lot means a tract of property located at the intersection of two streets. <br /> <br />Curb Une means the physical edge of that portion of any street which is improved, <br />designed or ordinarily used for vehicular traffic. <br /> <br />Shrub means any hedge, bush, shrubbery, vine, palm or other similar vegetation, <br />except trees. <br /> <br />Traffic means pedestrians, riders of animals, drivers of vehicles, while using any <br />street for purposes of travel. <br /> <br />Tree means any self-supporting woody plant species which normally grows to a <br />height of 15 feet or more. <br /> <br />Vehicle means every device in, or by which any person or property is or may be <br />transported or drawn upon a street, except devices moved by human power. <br /> <br />Sec. 74.122. Maintenance of sidewalk areas by property owners. <br /> <br />It is unlawful for any person to allow the sidewalk in front of any property owned <br />or controlled by the person, to become cracked, out of repair or remain in any condition <br />which might endanger a person or interrupt a person's the free passage of persons on the <br />sidewalk, or to allow tall weeds or tall grass to grow between the person's front property <br />line and the curb line. <br /> <br />Sec. 74.123. Fences obstructing view of traffic prohibited. <br /> <br />It is unlawful for any person to construct or replace, or cause to be constructed or <br />replaced on that portion of any corner lot, which is within a triangle on the corner of the <br />lot formed by a diagonal line intersecting the property lines at points 20 feet from the <br />street corner intersection of the property lines, any fence that prevents traffic approaching <br />the intersection on any street from clearly seeing traffic approaching the intersection on <br />another street. <br /> <br />Sec. 74.124. Trees or shrubs near fire hydrants prohibited. <br /> <br />It is unlawful for either the owner or the occupant of any property to place or <br />maintain, or cause to be placed or maintained, any tree or shrub within five feet of any fire <br />hydrant. <br />
