RESOLUTION 2017-169R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A JOHN DEERE <br />BACKHOE FOR THE PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT -WATER <br />DISTRIBUTION DIVISION IN THE TOTAL PURCHASE AMOUNT OF <br />$93,124.80 FROM RDO ' EQUIPMENT COMPANY THROUGH THE <br />TEXAS LOCAL GOVERNMENT PURCHASING COOPERATIVE <br />BUYBOARD CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, ROAD <br />AND BRIDGE EQUIPMENT, DITCHING, TRENCHING, UTILITY AND <br />OTHER EQUIPMENT (BUYBOARD CONTRACT #515-16); <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE PURCHASE DOCUMENTS ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The purchase of a John Deere Backhoe for the Public Services Department - Water <br />Distribution Division from EDO Equipment Company in the total purchase amount of $93,124.80 <br />through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buyboard contract for <br />Construction Equipment, Road and Bridge Equipment, Ditching, Trenching, Utility and Other <br />Equipment (Buyboard Contract #515-16) is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the appropriate <br />purchase documents on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 8th day of November, 2017. <br />John Thomaides <br />Mayor <br />
