RESOLUTION 2017-172R <br />F A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION <br />CONTRACT TO DIJ CONSTRUCTION, INC. FOR THE HOPKINS AND <br />LBJ STREET STRIPING PROJECT (IFB 218-021) IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$69,165.50 CONTINGENT UPON THE CONTRACTOR'S TIMELY <br />SUBMISSION OF SUFFICIENT BONDS AND INSURANCE IN <br />ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROJECT AND CONCURRENCE IN THE <br />AWARD OF THE PROJECT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS <br />DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The award of a construction contract to DIJ Construction, Inc. for the Hopkins <br />and LBJ Street Striping Project (IFB 218-021) in the amount of $69,165.50 is approved <br />contingent upon the Contractor's timely submission of sufficient bonds and insurance in <br />accordance with the City's construction contract documents for the Project and concurrence in <br />the award of the project from the Texas Department of Transportation. <br />PART 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute the contract <br />documents on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
