Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the packet workshop meeting of the San Marcos City <br />Council was called to order by Mayor Thomaides at 12:05 p.m. Friday, <br />November 17, 2017 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San <br />Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt was out due to business obligations and Council <br />Member Hughson was attending a Capital Area Council of Government <br />(CAPCOG) meeting. <br />Present: 5 - Council Member Ed Mihalkanin, Council Member Saul Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro <br />Tem Scott Gregson, Council Member Melissa Derrick and Mayor John Thomaides <br />Absent: 2- Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson <br />1. Consider Staff briefing and Council Member discussion and questions regarding items <br />on the agenda for November 21, 2017 Regular City Council Meeting, to wit Items (3-22). <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />3. Report and presentation from the Greater San Marcos Partnership. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />4. Meeting Minutes: <br />A) November 3, 2017 - Packet Meeting Workshop Minutes <br />B) November 8, 2017 - Regular Meeting Minutes <br />C) November 9, 2017 - Governance Policy Workshop Minutes <br />5. Ordinance 2017-59, on the second of two readings, concerning an approximately 85 <br />acre tract of land along the North Side of Centerpoint Road, East of Centerpoint Court <br />with a base zoning of Smartcode District; amending the Official Zoning Map of the City by <br />expanding the 62.158 acre Special District Area within said tract to include the remaining <br />23.354 acres and amending the development standards applicable to the expanded <br />special district; and including procedural provisions. <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
