RESOLUTION NO. 2018-27R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN <br /> APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR, CRIMINAL <br /> JUSTICE DIVISION, VICTIMS OF CRIME ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR <br /> A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,000 PER YEAR TO FUND THE <br /> CONTINUATION OF THE SECOND POSITION IN THE POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT'S VICTIM SERVICES PROGRAM FOR TWO MORE <br /> YEARS; AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF MATCHING FUNDS OF <br /> 20 PERCENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE <br /> TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO ACCEPT <br /> AND IMPLEMENT THE GRANT, IF AWARDED; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. This Resolution supersedes Resolution 2018-14R adopted on February 6, <br /> 2018, and authorizes the submission of an application to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice <br /> Division, Criminal Justice Division, Victims of Crime Assistance Program for a grant in the amount <br /> of$70,000 per year to fund the continuation of the second position in the Police Department's Victim <br /> Services Program for two more years. <br /> PART 2. The expenditure of matching funds in the amount of 20 percent of the grant <br /> award is authorized. <br /> PART 3. An assurance is provided that the City will return grant funds in full to the <br /> Criminal Justice Division in the event of loss or misuse. <br /> PART 4. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute any and all <br /> documents as necessary to accept and implement the grant, if awarded. <br /> PART 5.
