CITY OFSAN MARCOG <br />ON-CALL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR CDBR—ORINFRASTRUCTURE <br />PROJECTS <br />SUNSET ACRES DRAINAGE STUDY <br />SCOPE OFSERVICES <br />Project Understanding <br />As part of the 2017 On -Call Engineering Services C[)BG — DR Infrastructure program, <br />the City of San Marcos (COGM) has requested Alan Plummer and Associates, Inc. <br />k4PA|\ to prepare a preliminary dnminoge, traffic calming, and bicycle/pedestrian study <br />for the Sunset Acres neighborhood from the |H-35 northbound frontage road to <br />Guadalupe Street (SH 133). KFA will provide preliminary <br />engineering services, including: <br />Evaluation of traffic calming alternatives todiscourage cut -through traffic from the <br />northbound frontage nned of/H-35to Guadalupe Street (SH 123). <br />Preliminary plans and cost estimates for selected traffic calming alternatives <br />Preliminary typical sections and cost estimates for bioyc|elp8dnstrionfaoi|itiea in <br />the Sunset Acres neighborhood. The recommended alternatives will include a <br />Safe Nou[aS to Gohno| analysis to address all streets within the neighborhood <br />and pedestrian crossings atsignalized intersections. <br />Basic Scope of Services <br />Preliminary Engineering <br />1. Project Management and QA/QC: This task includes routine communication with <br />the Prime; invoicing; manpower and schedule management; QA/QCrevevva; and <br />other activities associated with managing KFA's portion of the project. <br />2. Meetings <br />a. Kick-off Meeting: KFAwiU attend one kick-off meeting with the Project <br />Team to kick off the project. <br />Traffic Calming Meeting — KFA will attend one meeting with the Project <br />
