Mayor Moore moved to reappoint Scott Walker and to reappoint <br />Mack Howard, which passed unanimously. The Council agreed to appoint one appointment at the <br />next regular City Council Meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration seven appointments to the Charter Review <br />Commission. Mayor Moore moved to reappoint Melvia Randle, Mr. Moseley moved to appoint <br />Bill DeSoto, Mr. Hernandez moved to reappoint Mike Narvaiz, Jr., Mr. Cox moved to reappoint <br />Augustin Lucio, Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Dan Gibson, Mr. Doiron moved to appoint <br />Fred Guerra and Ms. Hughson moved to reappoint Ted Hindson, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. There were no nominees so the Council agreed to make this appointment at the <br />next regular City Council Meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Main Street Advisory Board. <br />Mr. Cox moved to appoint Connie Skiles, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 1.545 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1621 POST ROAD, FROM <br />"M' SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT TO <br />"MFA" MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY); INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. Jeff Kester stated <br />he is representing David Phillips, who wants to expand his apartment complex on Post Road. <br />There were no other speakers, so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Chuck Tabor <br />stated he is the owner of the tract of property located on River Road and he purchased the <br />property in 1977. He stated there used to be mobile homes on the property and he would like to <br />develop the land and include park space. There were no other speaker, so Mayor Moore closed <br />the public hearing.
