(5) Ms. Hughson asked when <br /> recommendations from Boards and Commissions would come back to the Council <br /> regarding the length of terms. (6) Ms. Hughson asked that the Council <br /> Members who plan to attend the AMCC Conference let her know. (7) Mayor <br /> Moore stated his NLC meeting in Nashville over the weekend had been <br /> productive. They discussed many items, including affordable housing, <br /> workforce, education and community economic development and that some of <br /> their interests will be going forward from NLC to Congress. Mayor Moore <br /> requested Staff prepare a letter on his behalf supporting the stand of <br /> NLC. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced a discussion regarding the ten-minute citizen <br /> comment period. Mr. Hernandez expressed concern about the Council being <br /> selective regarding responses to citizens during the comment period. The <br /> citizens who do not receive a response are left with the impression the <br /> Council does not care about their concern. Mr. Taylor will work on some <br /> language to present to the Council on the boundaries upon which the <br /> Council can respond. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br /> Code, Sections 551.072 and 551. 073, to discuss the purchase of real <br /> property (Sessom Canyon area, Ranch Road 12 area). Mr. Doiron moved the <br /> Council adjourn into Executive Session at 12:06 a.m. and Ms. Hughson <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 12:36 a.m. and Ms. Hughson <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 12:37 a.m. on motion made by Mr. Mihalkanin and <br /> seconded by Ms. Hughson. <br /> ~~~.~ <br /> .
