(5) Ms. Hughson asked when recommendations from Boards and Commissions would come back to the Council regarding the length of terms. (6) Ms. Hughson asked that the Council Members who plan to attend the AMCC Conference let her know. (7) Mayor Moore stated his NLC meeting in Nashville over the weekend had been productive. They discussed many items, including affordable housing, workforce, education and community economic development and that some of their interests will be going forward from NLC to Congress. Mayor Moore requested Staff prepare a letter on his behalf supporting the stand of NLC. Mayor Moore introduced a discussion regarding the ten-minute citizen comment period. Mr. Hernandez expressed concern about the Council being selective regarding responses to citizens during the comment period. The citizens who do not receive a response are left with the impression the Council does not care about their concern. Mr. Taylor will work on some language to present to the Council on the boundaries upon which the Council can respond. Mayor Moore introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Sections 551.072 and 551. 073, to discuss the purchase of real property (Sessom Canyon area, Ranch Road 12 area). Mr. Doiron moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 12:06 a.m. and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Mihalkanin moved the Council reconvene at 12:36 a.m. and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 12:37 a.m. on motion made by Mr. Mihalkanin and seconded by Ms. Hughson. ~~~.~ . Billy G.
