Alvarez, Kim Doherty, Mario Gutierrez, Mark Brinkley, <br />Ken Bell, Kelly Franks, Rodney Vanoudekerke, Patsy Greiner, Christy Hardy, Norma Peralez, <br />Jayla Slocom, Robert Cotner, Dr. Gwen Smith, Vicky Fruit, Phil Neighbors, John Cooper, <br />Marsha Cooper and others. <br />Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the Citizen Comment Period. There were no speakers. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Planning & <br />Zoning Commission to complete a vacancy. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Gilbert Natal, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Parks & <br />Recreation Advisory Board to complete a vacancy. Mr. Doiron moved to appoint Lorin Friesen, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Zoning Board of <br />Adjustments and Appeals. Mayor Moore moved to appoint Art Surette as Alternate number two, <br />Dianna Lasyon to move from Alternate two to Alternate number one and Ken Moss to move <br />from Alternate one to a primary voting position, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Human <br />Development Commission. No appointments were made and the City Council will bring this <br />back to the next regular City Council meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 0.7 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1200 N. BISHOP STREET <br />FROM "R-I" SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO "P" PUBLIC <br />DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />* Mr. Gilley and Ms. Womack not present at this meeting.
