Call To Order <br /> With a quorum present,the joint workshop meeting of the San Marcos City <br /> Council and the San Marcos Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was called <br /> to order by Mayor Thomaides at 5:37 p.m. Wednesday,June 27,2018 in Room <br /> 3 of the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins, San Marcos,Texas <br /> 78666. <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Members Present: Richard Shaver, <br /> Margaret Crittenden, Frank Contreras, Eric Gilbertson,Diane Phalen,Maggie <br /> Hutchins-Wagner,Ryan MCGillicuddy, Bridgett Phillips. <br /> Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Members Absent: David Case <br /> Council Member Hughson was absent. <br /> 1. Receive a presentation and update regarding the Parks Master Plan from Halff and <br /> Associates and hold discussion to include, but not limited to prioritization of priorities, <br /> and provide direction to the City Manager. <br /> Mayor Thomaides thanked the Parks &Recreation Advisory Board for <br /> meeting with the Council and for their service. Drew Wells, Assistant Director <br /> of Community Services - Parks and Recreation Division,provided the Council <br /> and Parks& Recreation Advisory Board an overview of what has taken place <br /> regarding the Parks Master Plan up to this point and where the process will be <br /> going following this meeting. Mr. Wells then turned the meeting over to Mr. <br /> Adam Wood with Halff and Associates. <br /> Mr. Wood provided that the agenda for the day would be regarding Chapter 3 <br /> and the top priorities within that chapter. He reviewed the prioritization <br /> results for Element 1: Parks and Facilities, Element 2: Athletics, Element 3: <br /> Recreation Programming and Events,Element 4: Greenspaces and Resource <br /> Protection,Element 5: Trails, Element 6: Maintenance and Operations,and <br /> City organ Marcos Pape 1 <br />
