City Council Meeting Minutes August 21,2018 <br /> Street. <br /> Council Member Mihalkanin recused himself prior to discussion on this item. <br /> Shannon Mattingly,Director of Planning and Development Services, provided <br /> Council with a brief update on the Preferred Scenario Amendment(PSA) <br /> request. There will be a schedule adjustment because the developer will not <br /> have the final documents until August 31st. There is no action at this meeting, <br /> but it will come back to hearing and action by the Planning & Zoning <br /> Commission and then hearing by City Council with an expected <br /> January/February final action date. There was discussion to form a Council <br /> Committee and an item will be placed on a future agenda to appoint members <br /> to serve on this committee. <br /> CONSENT AGENDA <br /> A motion was made by Council Member Hughson,seconded by Council <br /> Member Mihalkanin,to approve the consent agenda with the exception of item <br /> #13,which was pulled and considered separately.The motion carried by the <br /> following vote: <br /> For: 6- Mayor Pro Tern Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, <br /> Council Member Hughson, Mayor Thomaides and Council Member Mihalkanin <br /> Against: 0 <br /> Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Gregson <br /> 4. Consider approval, by motion, of the following meeting Minutes: <br /> A) August 2, 2018- Budget Workshop Minutes <br /> B) August 7, 2018-Work Session Meeting Minutes <br /> C) August 7, 2018- Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> 5. Consider approval of Ordinance 2018-21, on the second of two readings, annexing into <br /> the City approximately 15.038 acres of land out of the Barnette O. Kane Survey, Abstract <br /> No. 281, located in the 1600 block of Redwood Road; approving a service plan for this <br /> area; including procedural provisions; and providing an effective date. <br /> 6. Consider approval of Ordinance 2018-22, on the second of two readings, amending the <br /> Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning a 15.038 acre, more or less, tract of land, <br /> Located In The 1600 Block Of Redwood Road, From "FD" Future Development District to <br /> "CD-4" Character District 4; and including procedural provisions. <br /> 7. Consider approval of Resolution 2018-143R, approving a construction contract with <br /> CB&I, Inc. for the Reclaimed Water Expansion Project - Elevated Storage Tank for an <br /> amount estimated at $1,841,000.00; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to <br /> execute the appropriate documents on behalf of the City and declaring an effective date. <br /> City of San Marcos page 5 <br />
