City Council Meeting Minutes October 16,2016 <br /> MAIN MOTION: a motion was made by Council Member Hughson,seconded <br /> by Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, to approve Ordinance 2018-42,on the first of two <br /> readings. <br /> MOTION TO AMEND: A motion was made by Council Member Mihalkanin, <br /> seconded by Council Member Hughson, to amend section 2.3.1.1(g)(3) by <br /> removing the word "shall" and change to "should" It will now read: Meeting <br /> decorum "should" follow protocol as stated in section 2.045(h) of the City <br /> Code.The motion carried by the following vote: <br /> For: 7- Mayor Pro Tern Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem <br /> Gregson, Council Member Derrick,Council Member Hughson, Mayor Thomaides <br /> and Council Member Mihalkanin <br /> Against: 0 <br /> MAIN MOTION: to approve Ordinance 2018-42, on the first of two readings, <br /> as amended. Receive a Staff presentation and hold a Public Hearing to receive comments for or <br /> against Resolution 2018-198R supporting the submission of an application for Low <br /> Income Housing Tax Credits to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs <br /> for the proposed Villas Del San Xavier Senior Community located at 2621 South <br /> Interstate Highway 35; and consider approval of Resolution 2018-198R, approving <br /> findings related to such application; imposing conditions for support; providing <br /> authorizations for execution or submission of documents related to such application; and <br /> declaring an effective date. <br /> Shannon Mattingly,Director of Development Services, provided a brief <br /> presentation regarding the submission of an application for Low Income <br /> Housing Tax Credits for the proposed Villas Del San Xavier Senior <br /> Community. <br /> The Mayor opened the Public Hearing at 8:18 p.m. <br /> Those who spoke: <br /> Richard Shaw, line developer of this property provided some information on <br /> the project.He stated they arc purchasing an additional 29 acres just north of <br /> this site.There will be bus transportation for these residents,all housing will be <br /> single story in 6-plex building made entirely of masonry, and a 10,000 square <br /> City or San Memos Page 9 <br />
