ORDINANCE NO. 2018-42 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 2.3.1.1(G) OF THE CITY'S <br /> DEVELOPMENT CODE, SUBPART B, OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY <br /> CODE, REGARDING NEIGHBORHOOD PRESENTATION MEETINGS, <br /> TO REQUIRE: PARTICIPANTS TO FOLLOW RULES OF DECORUM; <br /> TO CONDUCT THE MEETING ON OR IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE <br /> SUBJECT PROPERTY; AND TO CONDUCT THE MEETING WITHIN 20- <br /> 28 DAYS BEFORE THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> CONSIDERS THE MATTER THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE <br /> MEETING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE <br /> REPEAL OF ANY CONFLICTING PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. Following a public hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered and <br /> recommended amendments to the regulations regarding Neighborhood Presentation Meetings <br /> under the City's Development Code, Subpart B of the San Marcos City Code. <br /> 2. Following a public hearing, the City Council considered the recommendations of <br /> the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> 3. All requirements for amending the City's Development Code have been satisfied. <br /> 4. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of amendments to <br /> the regulations regarding Neighborhood Presentation Meetings is in the interest of the public <br /> health, welfare and safety. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION I. Section 2.3.1.1(G) of the City's Development Code, Subpart B, of the San <br /> Marcos City Code is amended as set forth below. Added text is indicated by underlining. <br /> G. When a neighborhood presentation meeting is required: <br /> 1. An applicant or authorized representative must schedule and <br /> facilitate a minimum of one neighborhood presentation meeting to <br /> discuss the proposed application. <br /> 2. Within 12 days of application submittal the Responsible Official <br /> shall send electronic notification of the meeting to all parties <br />
