Mayor Moore <br />asked the Committee to ask Chuck Nash for assistance. Mr. Gilley stated there is a <br />process established and Staff will move forward to accomplish this. Mr. Taylor stated the <br />City would need to approach the State with a fairly specific plan in order to impress upon <br />them that we are protecting the uses they intended, or it will not be received very well. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the City Manager's Report. (1) Mr. Gilley stated the budget <br />process workshops would be on August 3rd and August 4th. (2) Mr. Gilley stated staff <br />review of the bond commission proposal would be ready to present. Mr. Cox stated he <br />would want to reserve a block of time of 4-6 hours. Mr. Gilley stated the Bond Workshop <br />would be June 29th from 6:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. Mr. Gilley stated they would be <br />inviting the bond committee. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the City Attorney's Report. Mr. Taylor had no report at this <br />meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Ms. Hughson asked Mr. Gilley to <br />obtain information on delinquent taxes and for it to be provided at the next meeting. (2) <br />Ms. Hughson asked if there would be a meeting with the County, School and City in the <br />near future. Mr. Gilley stated there might be and would look into holding one. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin stated he was interested in pursuing a September workshop. (3) Ms. Hughson <br />asked how the City could address the smell from the wastewater plant. Mr. Gilley stated <br />the sludge disposal process would help and stated the odor problem will be addressed <br />when the new plant is completed. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he would want to address funding <br />in the FY98-99 in the event the problem continues. (4) Ms. Hughson informed the Council <br />the Downtown Owners' Parking Committee had received some responses from the survey <br />and would be preparing a summary to share with the Council. (5) Mayor Moore stated the <br />USIST had received some funding and Texas had received some for the Texas-Corridor <br />funding.
