An important first step in developing <br />an effective transportation plan is to <br />document existing conditions in the study <br />area. There are many factors to consider <br />when planning for future demand on a <br />community's transportation network. <br />Understanding how the existing <br />infrastructure operates and how it is used <br />helps planners shape a system that will <br />best serve the community it supports. A <br />summary of the current conditions for <br />each of these areas is presented in the <br />following pages. <br />
