The Vision San Marcos Comprehensive Plan goals and objectives define how the City of San <br />Marcos should grow and develop over the next two decades. The land use plan emphasizes <br />infrastructure supportive of mobility and all modes of transportation, including walking, biking <br />and transit. The San Marcos Five -Year Transit Plan reinforces the goal of'creating a multimodal <br />transportation network that improves accessibility and mobility, minimizes congestion and <br />reduces pollution'. The Transit Plan further states that 'this goal includes a focus on non- <br />vehicular transportation improvements and the creation of a sidewalk master plan to support <br />pedestrian mobility and complement public transit'. <br />To achieve the overall vision of Vision San Marcos, the future scenario of this Transportation <br />Master Plan places an emphasis on multimodal transportation and increased transit options. <br />
