182 <br />Regular Meeting November 9, 1998 Page 6 <br />Session. He enjoyed being at the conference and networking with <br />other colleagues across the state. He talked with vendors at <br />the conference and stated former Council Member Fred Guerra had <br />been honored by TML for his years of municipal service. (3) <br />Mayor Moore stated the City's TML Booth had been successful. (4) <br />Mr. Cox stated he had served as the City's alternate voting <br />delegate, and Mayor Moore had done a good job on the Resolutions <br />Committee with a group not friendly to those issues. (5) Ms. <br />Hughson asked when will information come to the Council <br />regarding preparedness for the next disaster, and Mr. Gilley <br />indicated it would be several weeks before that would be <br />prepared and brought before the Council. (6) Mr. Mihalkanin <br />requested a discussion be placed on a future agenda regarding <br />two-way on LBJ. Ms. Hughson stated she wants to know what <br />citizens think about that before it is decided. There is a <br />group considering a town meeting on this subject. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin requested a public hearing be set and begin the <br />process on the next agenda. (7) Mr. Moseley stated he wants to <br />hear input from the Youth Task Force, and Mayor Moore stated <br />there would be a report soon before the community on the Healthy <br />Community Plan. Mr. Doiron stated he will implement some summer <br />apprenticeships. Mr. Moseley stated he wants the Council to <br />discuss youth activities. <br />Mayor Moore introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to discuss pending litigation <br />(Gonzales vs. City of San Marcos) and matters where the City <br />Attorney's ethical duty to the City clearly conflicts with <br />Government Code Chapter 551 (infill development incentive <br />agreement - Bishop Street area) and flood damage relief; <br />Sections 551.072 and 551.073, to discuss lease of real property <br />(Greater San Marcos Area Seniors Association); and Section <br />551.074, to discuss evaluation of public officers (City Manager, <br />City Secretary, City Attorney and Municipal Court Judge).
