RESOLUTION NO.2019-34R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH <br /> GEOGRAPHIC TECHNOLOGIES GROUP, INC. FOR CONTRACT <br /> SERVICES RELATED TO THE 2019-2024 FIVE-YEAR GEOGRAPHIC <br /> INFORMATION SYSTEM (CIS) STRATEGIC PLAN AND AN <br /> AMENDMENT THERETO FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF <br /> $100,000; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE <br /> TO EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RELATING <br /> THERETO; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The City administratively awarded a contract for the 2019-2024 Five-Year <br /> Geographic Information System (GIS) Strategic Plan (the"Contract') effective August 12, 2018, <br /> as a result of a competitive bid process (RFP 218-219), to Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. <br /> in the total amount of$49,999.00. <br /> 2. The City wishes to amend the Contract by adding an expanded scope of services for a <br /> total contract amount of$100,000.00. <br /> 3. Because of the additional funding, the total cost of the Contract will now exceed <br /> $50,000.00 and therefore requires City Council approval. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The Contract between the City and Geographic Technologies Group, Inc. for <br /> contract services related to the Five-Year Geographic Information System (GIS) Strategic Plan is <br /> approved and an amendment is also approved for a total contract amount of$100,000.00. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute all necessary <br /> documents on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3. This Resolution will be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br /> passage. <br /> ADOPTED this the 196 day of February 2019. <br /> 1 <br />
