<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />April 23, 2001 <br /> <br />158. <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />of contingency funds in the amount of $25,000 in connection with the fuel <br />tank cleanup/LPST reimbursement, approval of Change of Services No.2 <br />regarding the Bishop Street Paving and Drainage Improvements Project in <br />the amount of $47,970, and approval of Change Order No.2 to the <br />Construction Contract with Cullum Pipe Systems, Inc. for the Victory <br />Gardens and East Guadalupe Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project in the <br />amount of $29,795 on consensus. The Council removed Items 24 and 25, <br />adoption of Resolutions, and Item 30, remove from table and adoption of <br />Resolution, to be considered separately. Mr. Doiron moved to approve the <br />minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 9, 2001 and Special Meeting held <br />April 16, 2001, for approval of the three Ordinances on second reading, <br />for adoption of the two Ordinances on third and final reading, for <br />adoption of the remaining eight Resolutions, including Item 29 (adoption <br />of Resolution) to be adopted with amendments provided by the City Attorney <br />at this meeting to the Terrand Earnest Money Contract and Donation <br />Agreement, approval of the use of contingency funds in the amount of <br />$25,000 in connection with the fuel tank cleanup/LPST reimbursement, for <br />approval of Change of Services No.2 regarding the Bishop Street Paving <br />and Drainage Improvements Project in the amount of $47,970, and approval <br />of Change Order No.2 to the Construction Contract with Cullum Pipe <br />Systems, Inc. for the Victory Gardens and East Guadalupe Sanitary Sewer <br />Rehabilitation Project in the amount of $29,795 on consensus and Mr. <br />Moseley seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Cox abstaining <br />[disclosure affidavit-real property] to Items 23 and 29, adoption of <br />Resolutions). The captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinances on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, OF THE CITY CODE, TO ADD A NEW <br />SECTION 2.569 TO PROVIDE FOR A PREFERENCE TO LOCAL BIDDERS IN THE <br />AWARD OF CONTRACTS FOR PURCHASES BY THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 62, PUBLIC SAFETY, OF THE CITY CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR <br />ASSIGNMENT PAY FOR VARIOUS SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS IN THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />ADDING A NEW CITY CODE SECTION 62.028 TO AUTHORIZE THE USE OF <br />COMPENSATORY TIME BY POLICE OFFICERS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />READOPTING CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE 6, OF THE CITY CODE ENTITLED SEXUALLY <br />ORIENTED BUSINESSES WITH AMENDMENTS AFTER PUBLIC HEARING AND REVIEW <br />
