City Council Meeting Minutes February 19, 2019 <br />Hughson indicated that she will provide this information to Council and stated <br />additional information can be found at CAPCOG.org. <br />Mayor Hughson provided a brief update on the Capital Area Metro Planning <br />Organization (CAMPO) stating that at last week's CAMPO meeting an <br />interlocal agreement was approved with Caldwell County for planning and <br />engineering analysis to extend Yarrington Road and FM 150 from Hwy 21 to <br />Hwy 130 to increase connectivity. Additional information can be found on <br />their website at campotexas.org. <br />Mayor Hughson provided a brief update on the Alliance Regional Water <br />Authority (ARWA). Phase IA, the construction of a pipeline between Kyle and <br />Buda to serve Buda's more immediate needs, is currently underway. The next <br />phase will be drilling wells into the Carrizo Wilcox, to determine pipeline <br />routes from the well site to all of the destination sites. These sites include San <br />Marcos, Kyle, Buda, Canyon Regional Water Authority, plus the sites <br />associated with the Guadalupe Blanco River Authority customers who is our <br />partner in this effort. Major water lines from our well fields will be shared <br />which are located near ours. <br />VI. Question and Answer Session with Press and Public. <br />Jordan Buckley, inquired about the SMART terminal and what steps are next? <br />Bert Lumbreras, City Manager, stated the Chapter 380 agreement and the <br />zoning change request will be considered at the March 5th meeting. <br />James Lombardo, asked no question, but made some statements about the <br />issues he sees with the SMART terminal. He stated his concern with the <br />increase in property taxes and the loss of citizens due to these tax increases. <br />Steve Parker, Assistant City Manager, will meet after the meeting to discuss his <br />concerns. <br />VII.
