<br />113. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />July 23, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mr. Mihalkanin stated no contact person is included in the Ordinance, and <br />Mr. Taylor stated he would add this. Mr. Mihalkanin requested a <br />representative be present at second reading, and Mr. Mayhew agreed. The <br />Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first <br />reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER BY THE ADDITION OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL <br />LIGHTS LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF IH35 AND CENTERPOINT ROAD; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Ms. Hughson moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. <br />Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration reconsideration of two Zoning <br />Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reconsider either of these <br />Ordinances. The captions read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 0.517 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1200 BLOCK OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE, <br />FROM "LB" (LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.015 ACRE <br />TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1200 BLOCK OF WONDER WORLD DRIVE, <br />FROM "LB" (LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting held July 9, 2001, approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held <br />July 16, 2001, approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held July 17, <br />2001; approval of one Ordinance on second reading; adoption of four <br />Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of five Resolutions and <br />approval to allow First Southwest Company to bid on City of San Marcos, <br />Texas Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2001, <br />on consensus. The City Council removed Items 19 and 22, adoption of <br />Resolutions, and Item 23, approval to allow First Southwest Company to bid <br />on the Certificates of Obligation, to be considered separately. Mr. <br />Mayhew moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July <br />9, 2001, approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held July 16, <br />2001, approval of the Special Meeting held July 17, 2001, approval of the <br />Ordinance on second reading, adoption of the four Ordinances on third and <br />final reading (Mr. Mihalkanin abstaining to Item 14, adoption of Ordinance <br />on third and final reading), and adoption of the remaining three <br />Resolutions on consensus.
