A cop, of the fire code is on file in the city fire marshal's office <br />and the city secretary's office. <br />(b) In the event there is a conflict between this article and the adopted <br />codes herein and any city, state or federal law, the more restrictive requirements <br />shall govern unless the less restrictive requirements are preemptive under state or <br />federal law. <br />(c) A violation of this chapter is a strict liability offense, and requires <br />no culpable mental state. <br />Sec. 38-33. Amendments to adopted code. <br />The following sections, paragraphs, and sentences of the International Fire <br />Code, 2015 edition are hereby amended as follows: <br />Section 101.1; insert: <br />101.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the Fire Code of the Cjjy of San <br />Marcos, hereinafter referred to as "this code." <br />Section 102.6. add Section 102.6.1 to read as follows: <br />102.6.1 Historical Portions of Building. The exemptions provided by 102.6 shall <br />apply only to the portion of the building designated as historical or comply with <br />section 1103.1.1 whichever is more restrictive. <br />Section 103.2 is amended to read as follows: <br />103.2 Appointment. The fire code official shall be appointed in accordance with <br />the prescribed procedures of this jurisdiction. <br />Section 105.7; add Section 105. Z19 to read as follows: <br />105.7.19 Electronic access control systems. Construction permits are required for <br />the installation or modification of an electronic access control system, as specified <br />in Chapter 10. A separate construction permit is required for the installation or <br />modification of a fire alarm system that may be connected to the access control <br />system. Maintenance performed in accordance with this code is not considered a <br />modification and does not require a permit. <br />Section 109.4; insert: <br />109.4 Violation penalties. Persons who shall violate a provision of this code or <br />shall fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, install, <br />alter, repair or do work in violation of the approved construction documents or <br />
