<br />68. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />March 5, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 12 removed from the consent <br />agenda, approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption of which <br />was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />ADDING A NEW DIVISION 18 TO CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 3 OF THE CITY CODE TO <br />ESTABLISH A TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY COMMISSION; AND INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br /> <br />Ms. Hughson moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and to <br />include the new Item (b) (4) on Page 2 in Section 2.365 and Mr. Doiron <br />seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson moved to amend the Ordinance to change <br />the name from Transportation Advisory Commission to Transportation <br />Advisory Board and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Doiron, Hughson, Chiu, Cox, Mayhew, Tatum. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Moseley. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on second <br />reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 15 removed from the consent <br />agenda, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TO <br />ADD ORGANIZATIONS THAT CAN ISSUE PARKING HOSPITALITY TAGS FOR PARKING <br />DOWNTOWN AND DELINEATING SPACES WHERE VEHICLES WITH SUCH TAGS MAY <br />PARK BY AMENDING ARTICLE 7 OF CHAPTER 82, TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES, OF <br />THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading <br />and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson moved to amend the <br />Ordinance on Page 2 in Section 82.293 (2) to change the language from VIP <br />tag to hospitality tag and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. The Council requested Staff advise how many tags have been <br />used. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on <br />third and final reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 16 removed from the consent <br />agenda, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />
