MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 29, 2001 PRESENT: Mayor David Chiu Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members Earl Moseley, Jr. Ed Mihalkanin Jane Hughson Joe B. Womack Mark Taylor Sherri Russell Ron Patterson Bob Higgs Laurie Anderson Rodney Cobb Also Present: Dan Praver, Kyle Maysel, Bob Thornton, Gwen Smith, Camille Phillips, Kelley Franks, Viola Stillman, Lupe Carbajahl, Ed Theriot, William Ford and others. Mayor Chiu called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Mayor Chiu introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice regarding Council action on a tabling motion. Mr. Moseley moved to adjourn into Executive Session at 6:03 p.m. and Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Moseley moved to reconvene at 6:14 p.m. and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Moseley stated it was consensus of the Council to consider the item on this agenda, remove from table and consider adoption of Ordinance on third and final reading, at the Special Meeting to be held Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at 5:30 p.m. The caption of the Ordinance, which was not read into the record, reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE RELEASE OF CITY EASEMENTS LOCATED ON REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY W. C. CARSON IN THE 100 BLOCK OF EAST CONCHO STREET; * Mr. Taylor not present at this meeting.
