Other Supporting Parks <br /> STATE PARKS <br /> JJ Stokes Park, located on the east side of Interstate 35, <br /> is the only state park within the City limits of San Marcos <br /> (see Map 3.2,Existing Schools and State Park,on page 48). <br /> This park can be accessed by Cape Road,which runs along <br /> the north edge of the park.Stokes Park is a developed <br /> park that is roughly five acres in size and is maintained by <br /> the City. <br /> Surrounding land uses include the following: <br /> • Apartment complexes <br /> • Cape's Camp Park <br /> • Single-family residential <br /> • AE Wood Fish Hatchery <br /> • Open space <br /> The San Marcos River runs along the west and south <br /> sides of this park, providing recreational opportunities <br /> such as hiking and bike trails.The park is currently in fair <br /> condition, but will need updates in the future. <br /> ailirt , <br /> • <br /> " s ' <br /> • <br /> rgiri <br /> s - 3 ..
