City Council Meeting Minutes June 4, 2019 <br />lots and they have not had roads since the flood of 1972. <br />There being no more speakers, the Mayor closed the Public Hearing at 8:00 <br />p.m. <br />Council recommended the following funding allocations: <br />-CASA $ 50,000 <br />-Habitat for Humanity — Housing Counseling $ 23,656 <br />-Southside Community Center Housing Rehab $ 125,000 <br />-Rebuilding Together Austin Housing Rehab $0.00 <br />-City Parks & Rec — Paul Pena Park $ 125,000 <br />-City Neighborhood Enhancement — Unsafe Structures $ 67,142 <br />-City Community Initiatives — Down Payment Assistance $ 84,000 <br />-City Community Initiatives — Emergency Home Repair $ 70,000 <br />-Administration (20%) $ 136,200 <br />Total Allocations: $ 680,998 <br />NON -CONSENT AGENDA <br />14. Consider approval of Ordinance 2019-17, on the first of two readings, amending Chapter <br />22, Cemeteries, of the San Marcos City Code by, among other things, eliminating the <br />requirement for payment of a Perpetual Care Fee and dissolving the Perpetual Care <br />Fund, providing for Cemetery Commission approval of monuments over eight feet in <br />height, limiting placements in lots and columbarium niches, and providing for other <br />miscellaneous changes; providing for the repeal of any conflicting provisions; and <br />providing an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Mihalkanin, seconded by Council <br />Member Derrick, to approve Ordinance 2019-17, on the first of two readings. <br />The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, Mayor <br />Hughson, Council Member Mihalkanin, Council Member Marquez and Council <br />Member Rockeymoore <br />Against: 0 <br />15. Consider approval of Resolution 2019-103R, approving a Fee Policy that incorporates a <br />cost recovery methodology; and declaring an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Derrick, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Prewitt, to approve Resolution 2019-103R. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, Council Member Gonzales, Council Member Derrick, Mayor <br />Hughson, Council Member Mihalkanin, Council Member Marquez and Council <br />Member Rockeymoore <br />City of San Marcos Page 10 <br />
