<br />114. <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />November 15, 2001 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />not reading the signs and asked if the City could increase the Police <br />patrol. Mr. Gilley stated yes, patrol can be increased. Mr. Gilley <br />stated patrol has also been increased on the streets in that area. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin stated he thought that would help the situation. Ms. Hughson <br />stated she drives this area daily and has noticed some improvement in <br />signage. The Council voted unanimously for approval of the Change Order. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tern Hughson introduced Item 8 tabled earlier in the meeting, an <br />Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.071, to <br />seek the City Attorney's advice regarding the Southwest San Marcos <br />annexation. Mayor Chiu filed a disclosure affidavit with the City Clerk <br />and left the Chambers during this matter. Mr. Mayhew moved to remove the <br />matter from the table and adjourn into Executive Session at 7:48 p.m. and <br />Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was <br />recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin, Montoya, Hughson, Cox, Mayhew, Tatum. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Chiu (disclosure affidavit-real property). <br /> <br />Mr. Mayhew moved the Council reconvene at 8:47 p.m. and Mr. Montoya <br />seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin, Montoya, Hughson, Cox, Mayhew, Tatum. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Chiu. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu returned to the Council Chambers at this time. <br /> <br />The City Council directed the discussion items on this agenda be postponed <br />until the November 26 Council Meeting. The discussions include: (1) <br />specific use permits and zoning changes, (2) application of the San Marcos <br />River Corridor Ordinance as a San Marcos Watershed Protection Ordinance, <br />(3) duplex regulations, (4) building heights in the Central Business Area <br />(CBA) , and (5) City Council's Report. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:48 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Mayhew and <br />seconded by Mr. Montoya. <br /> <br />
