Mr. Mihalkanin stated there was a split vote <br />during the direction to staff regarding the weight equipment. Ms. Hughson cautioned about <br />overruns with the project and asked how they would be funded. Mr. Gilley stated at this time all <br />costs will be covered, but cannot guarantee this will pay for the entire project. Mr. Gilley stated a <br />contract will be brought to the Council separately on the equipment. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration appro-val of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE 1999-2000 BUDGET TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE <br />ANIMAL SHELTER PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ms. Hughson moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Hernandez seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the consent agenda, including approval of the <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 27, 2000, approval of three Ordinances on second <br />reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of fifteen Resolutions, <br />and approval of audit report for FY1999. The Council removed items 8.D.(2), 8.D.(3), 8.D.(4), <br />8.D.(11), and 8.D.(12), adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Hernandez <br />moved for approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held March 27, 2000 {Mayor Moore <br />abstaining}, approval of three Ordinances on second reading, adoption of two Ordinances on <br />third and final reading, and adoption of the ten remaining Resolutions {The Council accepted the <br />amendments provided to them on item 8.D.(9)}, on consensus. Mr. Moseley seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously.
