RESOLUTION NO. 2019-217R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF EIGHTEEN <br />SURPLUS POLICE CARS TO THE CITY OF OAK RIDGE, TEXAS; <br />FINDING THAT SUCH CONVEYANCE SERVES THE PUBLIC <br />PURPOSE OF FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR BOTH THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS AND THE CITY OF OAK RIDGE; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT <br />AND ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS AS NECESSARY TO TRANSFER <br />TITLE AND CONVEY THE POLICE CARS TO THE CITY OF OAK <br />RIDGE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council finds that the sale and conveyance of eighteen surplus <br />police cars to the City of Oak Ridge serves the public purpose of fiscal responsibility for both the <br />City of San Marcos and the City of Oak Ridge. <br />PART 2. The sale and conveyance of eighteen surplus police cars in the amount of <br />$55,000 to the City of Oak Ridge is approved. <br />PART 3. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the appropriate <br />documents on behalf of the City. <br />PART 4.
