Hopkins - Work Session <br />630 East Hopkins <br />San Marcos, TX 78666 <br />City Council Chambers <br />With a quorum present, the work session meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 in <br />the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />MEF0.791110019 <br />Present: 6 - Council Member Saul Gonzales, Council Member Melissa Derrick, Mayor Jane <br />Hughson, Mayor Pro Tem Ed Mihalkanin, Council Member Joca Marquez and Council <br />Member Maxfield Baker <br />Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Mark Rockeymoore <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />Receive a Staff Presentation on the 2020 Comprehensive Plan Update, including <br />discussion regarding the Housing Action Plan, Small Area Plans, policy amendments to <br />the San Marcos Development Code, and architectural standards, and provide direction to <br />Staff. <br />Bert Lumbreras, City Manager provided a brief introduction of this item and <br />Shannon Mattingly, Director of Planning and Development Services introduced <br />Joe Cox, Chair of the Comprehensive Plan Oversight Committee. <br />Joe Cox, provided the context, history and purpose of the Comprehensive Plan <br />Oversight Committee. These include: <br />Review the progress of implementation of the Comprehensive Plan <br />• Determine completeness of achieving Comp Plan objectives <br />Provide an annual status report on the progress made toward implementation of <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />The 2018 updates to the comprehensive plan include: <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
