<br /> 135. <br />Regular Meeting February 25, 2002 Page 8 <br />stated the City usually accepts the one bid if the City is comfortable <br />with the contractor and the price bid. The Council then voted unanimously <br />for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Ms. Tatum <br />stated the Mitchell Center is now an official member of the Boys and Girls <br />Club. She stated she would like for the Executive Director of the Boys <br />and Girls Club to give a presentation to the Council and the Youth <br />Commission on the different programs and benefits which can be provided to <br />the community. Ms. Hughson asked if a Workshop before a City Council <br />Meeting would be enough time for the presentation. Ms. Tatum stated a <br />6:00 p.m. Workshop before a City Council Meeting would be enough time. <br />Ms. Tatum stated she would get with City staff to arrange for a Workshop. <br />(2) Mr. Cox stated he and Mr. Montoya had discussed with the Hispanic <br />Chamber of Commerce the Council's concerns about its economic development <br />and tourism activities. Mr. Cox stated the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce <br />agreed to provide Council with a report regarding economic development and <br />tourism activities. <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation or other matters <br />(Junked Vehicle Ordinance; Hays Energy, L.P., Tax Abatement Agreement). <br />Mr. Mayhew moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 9:01 p.m. <br />and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Mayhew moved the Council reconvene at 9:48 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:49 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Mihalkanin and <br />seconded by Ms. Tatum. <br /> <~ <br /> ¡ ne <br />Ed Mihalkanin Montoya <br />Council Member Council Member <br /> ç: ..~ ~aYhet^~.-- <br /> /. .~ <br /> , rY(\ <br /> Mayor Pro-Tem Council Member <br />
