The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Ms. Tatum stated the Mitchell Center is now an official member of the Boys and Girls Club. She stated she would like for the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club to give a presentation to the Council and the Youth Commission on the different programs and benefits which can be provided to the community. Ms. Hughson asked if a Workshop before a City Council Meeting would be enough time for the presentation. Ms. Tatum stated a 6:00 p.m. Workshop before a City Council Meeting would be enough time. Ms. Tatum stated she would get with City staff to arrange for a Workshop. (2) Mr. Cox stated he and Mr. Montoya had discussed with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce the Council's concerns about its economic development and tourism activities. Mr. Cox stated the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce agreed to provide Council with a report regarding economic development and tourism activities. Mayor Pro-Tem Hughson introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation or other matters (Junked Vehicle Ordinance; Hays Energy, L.P., Tax Abatement Agreement). Mr. Mayhew moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 9:01 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Mayhew moved the Council reconvene at 9:48 p.m. and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
