RESOLUTION NO. 2020-59R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A GRANT AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $50,000.00 TO ASSIST THE CITY'S POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT BY PROVIDING FUNDING TO IDENTIFY AND <br />SECURE A CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SERVICES <br />(CJIS) COMPLIANT INFORMATION SHARING PLATFORM; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Grant Agreement between the United States Department of Justice <br />and City of San Marcos in the amount of $50,000.00 to assist the City's Police <br />Department by providing funding to identify and secure a Criminal Justice Information <br />Services (CJIS) compliant information sharing platform is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to sign the Grant <br />Agreement on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
