Tuesday, May 19, 2020 <br />City of San Marcos <br />Meeting Minutes <br />City Council <br />3:00 PM <br />Virtual Meeting <br />This meeting was held using conferencing software due to the COVID-19 rules. <br />I. Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the special meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2020. <br />This meeting was held virtually. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Dr. Mihalkanin arrived after roll call at 3:10 p.m. <br />Present: 6 - Council Member Melissa Derrick, Mayor Jane Hughson, Mayor Pro Tem Ed <br />Mihalkanin, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Mark Rockeymoore, Council Member Maxfield <br />Baker and Council Member Saul Gonzales <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member Joca Marquez <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />1. Executive Session in accordance with Section §551.074 of the Texas Government Code: <br />Personnel Matters - to discuss and provideAnnual Appointee Evaluations to the City <br />Attorney and Interim City Clerk. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Derrick, seconded by Council <br />Member Baker, to enter into Closed Session at 3:07 p.m. The motion carried <br />by the following vote: <br />For: 5 - Council Member Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Rockeymoore, <br />Council Member Baker and Council Member Gonzales <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 2 - Mayor Pro Tem Mihalkanin and Council Member Marquez <br />DIRECTION/ACTION FOLLOWING EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />2. Consider action, by motion, or provide direction to Staff regarding the following Executive <br />Session item in accordance with Section §551.074 of the Texas Government Code: <br />Personnel Matters - to discuss and provide Annual Appointee Evaluations to the City <br />Attorney and Interim City Clerk. <br />Mayor Hughson stated executive session concluded at 5:05 p.m. and evaluations <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
