RESOLUTION NO. 2020- 114R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) 2020-2024 CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN <br />THAT SETS THE TIMING FOR HEARINGS AND COMMENT PERIODS IN <br />RELATION TO GRANTS FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br />AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The City is required to approve a Citizen Participation Plan that sets forth requirements <br />for citizen participation that must be followed for the creation or amendment of the five-year <br />Community Development Block Grant Consolidated Plan and grant -specific Action Plans. <br />2. A citizen comment period was provided regarding the 2020-2024 Citizen Participation <br />Plan. <br />3. The City Council has conducted a public hearing on the 2020-2024 Citizen <br />Participation Plan and wishes to approve it. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached 2020-2024 Citizen Participation Plan for Federal Grants from the <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development is approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager, or his designee, is designated as the official representative <br />of the City authorized to act in all matters related to the CDBG Program, and all matters related to <br />the Citizen Participation Plan. <br />PART 3.
