RESOLUTION NO. 2020-143R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS SUPPORTING THE MAYOR'S PUBLIC STATEMENT <br />REGARDING THE KILLING OF GEORGE FLOYD; AUTHORIZING <br />MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL JOIN IN SUCH PUBLIC <br />STATEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council supports the attached public statement from Mayor Jane <br />Hughson regarding the killing of George Floyd. <br />PART 2. Members of the City Council are authorized to join in the Mayor's public <br />statement by signing it, or otherwise, by publicly expressing their support of it. <br />PART 3.
