City Council Meeting Minutes July 7, 2020 <br />City Manager. <br />In the future when items are placed on the agenda, she would like to know why <br />an item is being placed on the agenda. This will help Council better understand <br />the purpose. Council members should provide the reason they want the item <br />on the agenda <br />Sam Aguirre, Assistant City Attorney, recommended that the council members <br />requesting the item include in the email request the reason for the item to be <br />on the agenda. <br />Council provided consensus to include background information when <br />requesting an item to be placed on the agenda and the City Clerk will forward <br />it to the Mayor for notification purposes. If a PowerPoint will be presented it <br />the council member requesting it <br />should provide it within two weeks from the date of the council meeting. <br />Mr. Lumbreras recommended an update the code of conduct policy. Mayor <br />Hughson stated that the Pro Tems are working on updating it and will be <br />sending an update on the procedures to the City Manager. <br />IV.
