City Council <br />Meeting Minutes August 18, 2020 <br />Marcos Arts Commission and recommendations and decisions on funding made by the <br />San Marcos Arts Commission; including procedural provisions; providing for the repeal of <br />any conflicting provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Derrick, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem <br />Mihalkanin, to postpone Ordinance 2020-60, to a meeting prior to the end of <br />October. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Council Member Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Mayor Pro Tem Mihalkanin, Council <br />Member Marquez, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Rockeymoore and Council Member <br />Gonzales <br />Against: 1 - Council Member Baker <br />30. Consider approval, by motion, authorizing negotiations of a Development Agreement <br />requested by Gene Eitel, on behalf of Rattler Storage for PDA -20-01 (Rattler Road <br />Storage), approximately 3.58 acres out of the Rebecca Brown survey located on Rattler <br />Road between Old Bastrop Hwy and Hwy 123 and consider the appointment of a Council <br />Committee to review aforementioned Development Agreement, if desired. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Baker, seconded by Council Member <br />Derrick, to approve authorization of negotiations of a Development Agreement <br />requested by Gene Eitel, on behalf of Rattler Storage for PDA -20-01 (Rattler <br />Road Storage). This is an approximately 3.58 acre tract located on Rattler <br />Road between Old Bastrop Hwy and Hwy 123. Council provided consensus to <br />allow staff to handle this and a committee is not necessary at this time. <br />The motion to approve carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Council Member Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Mayor Pro Tem Mihalkanin, Council <br />Member Marquez, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Rockeymoore, Council Member Baker <br />and Council Member Gonzales <br />Against: 0 <br />31. Discuss and consider an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Human Services Advisory <br />Board, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Council Member Derrick nominated Alfretta Lee for consideration to serve on <br />the Human Services Advisory Board. <br />Following a roll call vote Alfretta Lee was unanimously approved for <br />appointment to the Human Services Advisory Board. <br />32. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the City's contract with Texas <br />Disposal Systems in preparation for an upcoming consideration of contract extension, <br />and provide direction to Staff. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Mihalkanin, seconded by Council <br />City of San Marcos page 25 <br />
