RESOLUTION NO. 2020-186R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A ONE-YEAR STATE USE CONTRACT <br />WITH EASTER SEALS -CENTRAL TEXAS AS CERTIFIED THROUGH <br />THE STATE PURCHASING COOPERATIVE WORKQUEST FOR <br />VEGETATION CONTROL, DEBRIS REMOVAL AND LANDSCAPE <br />MAINTENANCE IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,149,388.24; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The procurement of services described in the attached agreement with Easter <br />Seals -Central Texas is approved as an exception to competitive bidding requirements pursuant to <br />the provisions of Chapter 122, Human Resources Code. <br />PART 2. The attached agreement (the "Agreement") between the City and Easter Seals - <br />Central Texas as certified by State purchasing cooperative WorkQuest for vegetation control, <br />debris removal and landscape maintenance in the estimated amount of $1,149,388.24 is approved. <br />PART 3. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the Agreement on <br />behalf of the City. <br />PART 4.
