SAN MARCOS TRANSIT PLAN I FINALREPORT <br />City of San Marcos <br />High -Density Housing <br />High-density housing in San Marcos consists of the following categories: <br />■ Texas State University studenthousing(6,85obeds) <br />■ Achieving CommunityTogether (ACT) member apartment communities (18,000+beds) <br />■ Non -ACT member apartment communities <br />■ Apartments and residential communities restrictedto seniors <br />ACT is a partnership between Texas State Universityand the City of San Marcos to promote a <br />successful experience for tenants and neighbors. ACT member apartment communities are vetted <br />annuallybythe Department of Housing and Residential Life. SomeACT members that are not <br />served by Bobcat Shuttle, such as Woods of San Marcos and Cottages at San Marcos, provide their <br />own shuttle service. Apartment communities not affiliated with ACT are scattered throughout the <br />city with the highest concentrations along Thorpe Lane, Post Road, Linda Drive, LeahAvenue, <br />and Hunter Road.
